About me

I am currently a forth year student at UC Santa Barbara, majoring in Sociology and Philosophy with a minor in Professional Writing. While at UCSB I participated in the UCSB Mock Trial team as both a Closing Attorney and an Expert Witness, and participated as an active member of the co-ed prelaw fraternity Phi Alpha Delta, where I served as the Leader in Training Professional Development Chair.

Prior to attending UC Santa Barbara I was a student at Fullerton Community College, where I received Associates Degrees in History, Political Science, and Sociology. While attending Fullerton Community College I also participated in Speech and Debate, where I competed in the Informative and Persuasive catagories.

Below are some pieces that I have created previously in classes, and for competition

Case Brief

Created for legal writing

These case briefs are constructed around real cases, written for a legal writing class as both an introduction to legal thought as well as to writing for the law.

Legal Memo

Created for legal writing

This legal memo was constructed around a fake case meant to exercise our undestanding of case law and precedents in a written format.

Advocacy Letter

Created for legal writing

This advocacy letter was written for a legal writing class about a fictional case, meant to analyze our understanding of both the situation of the case as well as the law.

Created for mock trial

This closing statement was created for competition with the American Mock Trial Association. It was presented at both Regionals and Open Round Championship competition.
